🔻 Oil prices rose by more than 2% after the U.S. attack on Larak Island

Oil prices rose by more than 2% on Monday after U.S. forces attacked two Iranian launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent crude rose by $2.22, or 2.52%, to $90.32 per barrel.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude also rose by $2.01, or 2.41%, to $85.41 per barrel.

The attack, carried out on Sunday, was the first known U.S. strike against Iran since late July.
