Oman’s energy minister said: The Strait of Hormuz will likely reopen, and the current situation will be short-term.

Salim Al Oufi, on Monday, 23 Shahrivar, said, with emphasis on the need for the urgent diversification of exit routes and also the identification of alternative options for exports, that current tensions must be resolved and that the situation should reach stability in the medium term.

These remarks were made as a meeting of Gulf countries and the Islamic Republic regarding the Strait of Hormuz—which was scheduled to be held today in Muscat—was postponed.

The meeting was delayed following an attack on the Saudi Arabia oil pipeline.
