🔸 Publication of the names of dozens of political prisoners “at risk of execution”

A committee monitoring the status of detainees, alongside the increase in executions of protesters against the Islamic Republic, has moved to publish the names of more than 60 people who, in prisons of the Islamic Republic, face death sentences.

The committee, pointing to the danger of executing detainees associated with protests and dozens of cases with charges such as “enmity against God” (moharebeh) and “corruption on earth” (efsad fel arz), has expressed concern about their unknown fates.

The committee says the names of this number were compiled based on its own gathered information and reports published by human rights organizations and reputable media.

Some of them have been sentenced to death in the first-instance court, and some verdicts have been upheld by the Supreme Court.

The committee says that, based on experience from recent months, the “identity of those executed associated with the protests of Dey” is usually revealed only after the sentence is carried out and official news is announced by media affiliated with the judiciary.
