🔶 Rejected asylum seekers are leaving Germany voluntarily in greater numbers

According to a media report, the number of migrants and rejected asylum seekers who are leaving Germany voluntarily has increased.

The newspapers of the Funke media group, citing Germany’s Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), reported that in the first half of this year, 9,276 people returned to their countries voluntarily under the government’s programs to support the return of asylum seekers.

This comes as, in the first half of 2025, nearly 7,300 people had left Germany voluntarily using the humanitarian support-for-return program.

According to the report, in 2025, voluntary returns by foreign nationals who are required to leave the country with the benefit of government support increased significantly compared with the year before.
