🔺Rubio: Cuba will be set to move on an irreversible path of change before the end of the Trump administration’s term

▪The U.S. Secretary of State said he is confident that Cuba will be placed on an “irreversible path toward a much different future” before the end of Donald Trump’s administration.

▪In an interview with the Katie Miller podcast, Marco Rubio added that this change will not happen overnight: “You can’t have something for 70 years, let it take root, and then think that all of a sudden you’re going to rip everything out from the roots and put something completely new in the ground. A transition has to happen and there has to be a process for getting there.”

▪He referred to the experience of Eastern Europe: “The countries of Eastern Europe took three to five years to truly become what we know today. Poland is probably the best example.”
