🔶“Saudi Arabia resumed loading and selling oil from within the Strait of Hormuz”

According to shipping data and commercial sources, Saudi Arabia’s state-backed energy giant Aramco resumed loading oil from within the Strait of Hormuz last week and, while supplying spot heavy crude oil cargoes, more oil tankers are waiting to be loaded.

As Reuters reported, on Monday, the world’s largest oil exporter supplied shipments of “Arab medium” and “Arab heavy” crude oil to some Asian refineries for loading during this month through ship-to-ship transfers off the coast of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.

The company had halted its sales for several weeks after last month’s attacks on its tanker fleet in the Strait of Hormuz amid the escalation of U.S.-Iran tensions.

LSEG shipping data on Tuesday showed that seven giant tankers owned by the Saudi company Bahri were anchored off the coasts of the UAE and Oman, while two other tankers were heading toward Fujairah.
