Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense Organization said that the situation was normal on the morning of Saturday, 28 Shahrivar, after issuing an alert about a possible danger in Riyadh and the city of Al-Kharj.

A Reuters reporter reported hearing two explosions in the Al-Ulayya area in Riyadh. Saudi officials did not provide any explanation in the statement about the source of the explosions.

The alert was issued a few hours after the military spokesman for the Houthis said that the group had thwarted efforts that, according to him, Saudi Arabia had carried out in Sanaa and had promised a response.

The Houthis, who control densely populated parts of Yemen and large areas in the north of the country, have increased their attacks on Saudi Arabia since the announcement of Saudi Arabia’s naval blockade in July, and have also targeted Saudi ships in the Red Sea.
