Sazandegi newspaper reported on Saturday, citing an informed source, that Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, has opposed the resignation of Mohammad-Bagher Zolqadr, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and asked him to continue his work.

IranWire had previously reported that although Zolqadr was appointed as secretary of the Supreme National Security Council by the order of the president and with the leader of the Islamic Republic’s approval, he had not been appointed as the representative of the leader of the Islamic Republic on this council and does not have the right to vote.
