Several sailors on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln have tried to jump off the ship during its long deployment.
About 5,000 sailors and Marines from the ship have been deployed since November 21 for more than eight months to support operations against Iran.
One sailor’s wife said her husband tried to jump off the ship after repeated and excessive pressure.
In a separate incident, a sailor on watch stopped a crew member who was preparing to jump off the ship and returned him to the deck.
The Stars and Stripes newspaper reported a third incident in which the guards prevented a crew member from jumping off.
