Shahram Khaledi, a researcher in Middle East history and international relations, referring to France’s decision to expel two Islamic Republic diplomats in response to the arrest and mistreatment of two French diplomats in Tehran, said that the Islamic Republic is a regime that is “aggressive, insurrectionary, and terror-breeding,” and that it has a long history of violating diplomatic immunity.
He said that with these actions, the Islamic Republic even alienates countries that have been willing to mediate with Tehran.
