Ship-tracking data and maritime images show that ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is still being affected by the war between the United States and the Islamic Republic, as well as uncertainty about the security of shipping. Despite ongoing talks about reopening this waterway, the passage of vessels has not yet returned to normal levels.

Earlier, the maritime intelligence company VesselsInfoWndward said that in the 24 hours leading up to the early hours of 15 Mordad, only 12 vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz, while before the disruption to shipping, about 140 vessels used to transit the route each day.
