U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that the aviation assets and forces of the U.S. Marine Corps deployed aboard the USS Boxer are supporting the implementation of the U.S. naval blockade against the Islamic Republic. CENTCOM added that, until August 15, it had diverted 49 commercial ships, disabled two vessels, and inspected two vessels.
