〰❌ Spang Hamou, former commander of the People’s Defense Units / Syrian Democratic Forces, who is now Deputy Minister of Defense of Syria for the eastern region, says that Israel is trying to disrupt the integration of Kurds in the Syrian government:

Some forces, with Israel at the top, are trying to incite and disrupt this process.

We have passed the hardest stage, but difficulties remain.

Damascus is now the shared capital for all of us.

He said that those who wanted to use Kurds as a military tool for other regional projects “lost,” while Turks, Arabs and Kurds all “won.”

Turkey recently removed him from its wanted list after decades of pursuit over his alleged ties to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
