Sweden has signed a custom deal worth €4.3 billion for four frigates from France’s naval group, and the first ship is expected to be delivered in 2030.

The new frigates will be the largest ships in the Swedish navy. The country plans to strengthen Stockholm’s air-defense capabilities amid growing security concerns in the Baltic region.
