🔻Jordan says it intercepted “eight missiles” from Iran

According to the official spokesperson of Jordan’s armed forces, air defense systems “intercepted eight missiles in the first hours of Monday morning.”

According to BBC Monitoring, Jordanian media published this statement, but unlike previous statements, it does not specify where the missiles were launched from or what their target was.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had announced that in response to the United States’ attacks on Iran’s Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz, it launched ballistic missiles and drones at the King Hussein and Al-Azraq air bases in Jordan.

In the IRGC statement, it said the attack “destroyed the technical infrastructure, repair and maintenance centers, and the fighter aircraft hangars of the enemy.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also warned that “any missile launch will be met with more forceful and more destructive responses.”

Iran says it attacked the Al-Menhadi base in the United Arab Emirates as well, but the UAE Ministry of Defense denies it.
