▪ The deputy for investment of the National Development Fund says that today we have more than $110 billion in receivables from the government and more than $17 billion from the National Iranian Oil Company.
▪ This amount of debt is equivalent to 42 percent of the country’s GDP.
▪ Reza Mohammadi, pointing to the government’s inability to settle this volume of debt, called for transferring the country’s oil and gas fields to the National Development Fund in order to repay the government’s debt.
▪ Last week, the Iran National Development Fund reported that the accounts of the National Iranian Oil Company had been blocked due to the maturity of the company’s debt of about $1 billion.
