The Judiciary’s media said it has issued an indictment for six officers in a sexual assault case and the beating and wounding of a teenager in Tabriz, but described the incident as “an improper confrontation with an individual” and did not include the sexual assault among the announced charges.

Mehr News Agency, the media outlet of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Judiciary, Thursday, 2 Mehr, announced that the indictment for the officers in this case was issued following follow-up by the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces.

According to the indictment, the six officers face charges of “violation of citizens’ rights,” “creating an atmosphere of distrust toward the armed forces,” and “inflicting intentional blows.”

In the list of charges announced by Mizan, there is no mention of sexual assault against the teenage boy from Tabriz.

Mizan also, without referring to the injured person as a teenager, wrote that last week it published an image of “several rogue officers’ confrontation with one individual in Tabriz” on social media.
