The number of people who have died from Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has exceeded 2,000, the Ministry of Communications and Media reported.

The number of confirmed cases has reached 4,381, with a fatality rate of 45.9%. More than 700 people diagnosed with Ebola or suspected of having the virus are being treated in hospitals and medical isolation facilities.
