The United Nations announced that at least 76,000 people have been displaced in Yemen since Tir month, and the number of displaced people has quadrupled in the past week.
Based on a statement by the International Organization for Migration, the displacement crisis in Yemen is getting worse “hour by hour.”
On Friday, the International Organization for Migration had reported a figure of 46,000 migrants.
The displacement has occurred in the western coast and in Taiz, where the most damage has been seen; about 8,300 households—nearly 50,000 people—have been displaced from this province alone.
