The U.S. government claimed that a Chinese hacking group infiltrated the Department of Justice, NASA, the central bank (the Federal Reserve), the Senate, and other sensitive government organizations, but that by creating disruption, it prevented the spread of this infiltration.

The U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement on Wednesday that it had seized the domains used in this cyberattack.

According to the documents released, the Department of Energy, the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Institutes of Health, and four unidentified companies in the United States and South Korea were among the hackers’ targets.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Washington said that although they are not familiar with the details mentioned in the Department of Justice’s statement, the Chinese government firmly opposes all forms of cyberattacks and fights them in accordance with the law.
