While Qatar and Pakistan are mediating to reduce tensions between Washington and Tehran, Donald Trump has stressed that no negotiations are currently taking place between the United States and the Islamic Republic.

Trump: “ I don’t want to meet—they want to. In fact, they’re begging for a deal.”

At the same time, U.S. economic and maritime pressure continues, and the Trump administration is working to secure support from the G20 countries to intensify economic pressure on the Islamic Republic.
