🔸The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday, 7 Shahrivar that the U.S. military has rerouted the routes of 82 commercial ships from the start of Iran’s new naval blockade until Friday, 6 Shahrivar.

🔸On the X social media platform, CENTCOM wrote that «until Friday, 6 Shahrivar, CENTCOM forces have rerouted 82 commercial ships, disabled three ships, and inspected two ships to ensure compliance with the rules.»

🔸Admiral Brad Cooper, CENTCOM’s commander, said in a video message early on Friday, Iranian time, that thousands of American personnel are participating in Iran’s naval blockade using more than 20 warships and hundreds of aircraft.

🔸The statements by CENTCOM’s commander about the impact of the naval blockade on Iran’s exports and imports are being made while several officials of the Islamic Republic have also acknowledged its consequences in recent days.

🔸Nevertheless, the commanders of the Islamic Republic reject the United States’ account of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and say that U.S. forces and military vessels do not have control over this waterway.
