⚡U.S. President Donald Trump once again emphasized that he prefers resolving differences with the Islamic Republic through negotiations, but warned that if diplomacy fails, the United States would be ready to carry out a broad military operation.

President Trump said on Wednesday night in Las Vegas that his goal is to reach an agreement, because he does not want the people of Iran to lose their lives. He also noted that the United States has previously carried out heavy attacks against targets of the Iranian regime and that, at some point, it had been prepared to carry out an attack on a very large scale.

Fox News also reported that negotiations regarding the Strait of Hormuz are continuing with Oman mediating, and some of the Arab allies of the United States, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have asked President Trump to give the diplomatic process more time before any military action. U.S. officials emphasize that if the talks fail, the military option will remain on the agenda.
