Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday, the first day of Mehr, in his address at the UN General Assembly that new Shahed drones equipped with jet engines that benefit from Iranian technology, alongside Russia’s ballistic missiles, are among the most difficult threats facing Ukraine.

Zelensky said: “What is truly difficult for us now is Russian ballistic missiles and the new Shahed drones.”

He announced that in the first eight months of this year, Russia used 63,000 attack drones of various types against Ukraine, more than 7,700 of which were Shahed drones equipped with jet engines.
