🔸Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, condemned what she called “relentless attacks by Iran’s proxy forces.”

🔸She wrote on the social network X on Monday, 23 Shahrivar: “We stand in solidarity with our partners in the Gulf [Persian Gulf] against the relentless attacks by Iran’s proxy forces. We all have a role to play in this.”

🔸The European Commission president’s message comes after the swift advance of Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen, the group’s control of the strategic Bab el-Mandeb strait, and an attack on the oil pipeline infrastructure at the Strait of Hormuz.

🔸Iranian officials deny any direct involvement in recent developments in Yemen.
