A video of a debate between Ahmad Ariyaninejad, a member of parliament and a central council member of “Shariaan,” and Mohammadreza Talebinejad, secretary of the “Tehran Society for Progress and Justice,” has been published on the “Hamshahri” media outlet.

In this debate, Ariyaninejad describes the state killing of Mahsa Zhina Amini as “reaching the afterlife,” and refers to the nationwide protests afterward as “eight months of unrest.” Mahsa Zhina Amini died in September 1401 after being detained by the Guidance Patrol. Her death led to nationwide protests of “Women, Life, Freedom.”
