Videos shared on social media reportedly show clashes between two mourning groups near the Imam Eighth shrine of Shi‘ites in Mashhad.

In images that are said to show the evening of Wednesday, 21 Mordad, coinciding with the 28 Safar ceremonies, people from two mourning groups are seen on opposite sides of the square throwing sticks toward each other.
