🔺 400% increase in ships’ passage through the Strait of Hormuz alongside intensifying U.S. pressure

Reports indicate a 400% increase in the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz over the past two weeks; at the same time, the U.S. Navy is monitoring the passage of oil tankers carrying millions of barrels of oil through the safer route south of the strait.

These developments are taking place alongside the continuation of a naval blockade and the possibility of new U.S. sanctions against Iran in the coming week. Officials of the Islamic Republic have also threatened countries that are aligned with U.S. economic pressure, saying they would target their interests.

While the U.S. military presence in the region continues and Trump has said talks with Iran will be halted, economic pressure has also increased and, according to this report, the dollar has crossed the two million rials mark.
