83 percent of the citizens participating in the Iran International survey said that if conditions were provided, they would decide to emigrate and leave Iran.

About 100,000 people took part in this survey over a 24-hour period and answered the question: “If you had the opportunity, would you emigrate from Iran?”

The results of the survey show that 83 percent of participants chose the “Yes” option and 17 percent chose the “No” option.

Alongside the explanatory comments by users in the comments section, this figure provides a picture of the mental state of a significant part of society, consisting of a combination of economic despair, political fatigue, attachment to one’s homeland, and ambivalence between staying and leaving.

Economic factors, social restrictions, the political situation, and the unclear outlook for the future are among the reasons for emigration among Iranians.
