🔻A commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was killed in clashes between government forces and armed individuals in Saravan

The Regional Headquarters Quds of the Ground Forces of the IRGC confirmed on Wednesday, on the first of Mehr, that Brigadier General Hossein Zarefi, commander of the “Martyr Sajad” operational headquarters in Saravan, was killed in a shooting by armed individuals.

According to Iranian news agencies, in these clashes five armed individuals were also killed, and “a number of weapons and quantities of ammunition from the hideout of this armed team” were discovered.

Recently, clashes in the Saravan area between government forces and armed individuals have increased.
