🔻A Russian drone hit the engine of another train shortly after a train carrying former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and several senior European security officials passed. The attack reportedly resulted in no published casualties. Ukrainian officials also said that all passengers had been evacuated.

Mr. Johnson and several national security advisers from European countries, including Jonathan Powell from the UK, were on a train along this same rail route, as they returned from a conference in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.

Russia said it attacked “railway infrastructure” in western Ukraine, but Ukraine’s state railway company Ukrzaliznytsia said that “it is very likely that the target of this drone was the train carrying diplomatic delegations.”

The company said in a statement that the train had left the station earlier than the expected time “due to the timetable change... and in the wake of the ongoing threats of Russian attacks.”
