Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, said in an online speech at the “Global Dialogue 2026” forum on Saturday, 28 Shahrivar, that in the Middle East, “sustainable security cannot be imposed from outside the region, and regional security must belong to the region itself.”

The foreign minister of the Islamic Republic said: “Sustainable security is achieved through dialogue, confidence-building, cooperation and mutual respect among the countries of the region, not through the military presence of foreign powers.”

In this online speech, Abbas Araghchi added: “The military assault by the United States and Israel was illegal, unjust, aggressive, and without any prior provocation.”

He also said that the war against Iran is part of a broader pattern of “unpunished acts of aggression, including the campaign of targeted killings of officials, threats against senior officials and political figures, violations of countries’ sovereignty, and the impunity of aggressive actions.”
