Abbas Goudarzi, spokesperson of the Speaker’s Office of the Majles, told House of Nation News Agency that the Islamic Republic is one that embraces interaction, brotherhood and peace, but any violation of Iran’s national interests is a red line, and “any country that accompanies the United States’ sanctions against the Islamic Republic will face regret-inducing reactions.”
Goudarzi added: “If Iran’s oil is not sold, no country’s oil in the region will be sold.” He emphasized that the interests of the countries in the region are interconnected, and that any blow to Iran’s economy will also affect the economies of other countries in the region.
The spokesperson of the Speaker’s Office of the Majles also described the management of the Strait of Hormuz as one of the strategic capacities for neutralizing sanctions, and said that the Islamic Republic would not be passive in the face of economic pressures and would use all available capacities to counter sanctions.
