🔻Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC, says one of its vessels was targeted by an attack on Friday while passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to UAE state news agency WAM, no one was injured in the attack and the situation is now under control.
It is the third attack of this kind on ADNOC vessels in less than a week. In two previous cases, the UAE blamed Iran, but it has not yet issued an official position regarding the attack on Friday.
Before the start of the war, about one-fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas passed through the Strait of Hormuz. Since the start of the war between the United States and Israel with Iran on February 28, ship traffic in this waterway has been disrupted many times, and shipping costs and security concerns have increased.
