The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company has proposed routing Iraq’s oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz and delivering Basra oil and other grades to Asia’s refineries using the same method it uses for its own oil. Bloomberg reported this, citing informed sources.

Adnoc has been the most successful producer outside extracting crude oil from the Persian Gulf. The company uses a method known as “shuttle,” in which vessels make short trips and then transfer their cargo outside the Gulf to other vessels.

Based on the report, in recent days Adnoc has offered tanker loads to Asian buyers and, using the same method, is transporting oil from other Middle East producers and, in particular, from Iraq.
