🔻According to an announcement by Iran Civil Aviation Organization, Iran’s flights to Muscat and Baghdad will be canceled starting at midnight on Wednesday.

Majid Akhavan, the spokesperson for this organization, said: “From 24:00 tonight, the Baghdad airport will not accept Iranian flights, and for that reason we are coordinating and consulting so that flights whose destination is Baghdad are redirected to Najaf airport.”

He also said: “The arrival of Iranian passengers at the airport in Oman will also not be carried out, and consultations in this regard are continuing.”

Mr. Akhavan says that other international flights will be carried out according to the schedule.

Earlier this month, the United States imposed sanctions on “all remaining Iranian airlines” that had not previously been subject to sanctions, which are set to take effect tomorrow (September 23 / October 1).
