🔸As videos and various images circulated on social media about the occurrence of an armed clash in the early hours of Friday, 27 Shahrivar, in the city of Zahedan, the Borna news agency reported the death of a Law Enforcement Forces officer in this clash.

🔸The agency, by announcing the occurrence of a “security incident” in the vicinity of University Street in Zahedan, wrote that a police officer was killed in an attack on a checkpoint.

🔸The website “Halvosh,” which publishes news from Sistan and Baluchestan, also says that starting at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, in the area of University Street and around Student Street in Zahedan, there was heavy, rapid gunfire for two hours, and the occupants of a Peugeot 405 vehicle were targeted.

🔸Citing its own sources, the outlet also added that in this clash “an armed person, three military forces, and two bystanding women were injured, and several ambulances were dispatched to the area of University Street and around Student Street, and in some streets checkpoints were set up.”

🔸In recent days, armed clashes in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province have increased significantly.
