Amir Giti, a member of the editorial board of Iran International, said, pointing to the end of the 60-day deadline set in the Islamabad understanding note and Donald Trump’s opposition to extending it, that in the current circumstances the U.S. president prefers to continue economic pressure on the Islamic Republic rather than resume military attacks, but if the Iranian government takes military action, the option of an attack remains on the table.
