🔶 Bagherzadeh: Instead of denying the captivity of three Iranian pilots, Qatar allow our fact-finding team to enter Qatar
Following the denial of the news about the “captivity” of three pilots of the Islamic Republic’s air forces by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Bagherzadeh, commander of the Missing Persons Search Committee of the Armed Forces General Staff, called for the dispatch of a fact-finding team to this country.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Bagherzadeh said: “Instead of denying the issue and creating restrictions on the path to fact-finding, the government of Qatar allow the expert and fact-finding team of the Air Force of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran to travel to Qatar.”
Bagherzadeh also, emphasizing the presence of Iranian pilots in this country, claimed: “A team consisting of skilled experts of our country’s air force has, for several months, been waiting for permission to enter Qatar and conduct on-site investigations, but due to repeated obstruction and stalling by the Qatari officials, so far the grounds for the return of our brave pilots to the country have not been provided.”
The commander of the Missing Persons Search Committee of the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces General Staff also asked the Red Cross to urgently follow up on this matter.
