Ben Sabbati, a researcher on Iran and Israel, said Israel targets any military equipment or advanced technology that threatens this country’s military advantage; whether it is from the Islamic Republic or from Turkey. He added that Tel Aviv is also monitoring and confronting activities of forces affiliated with the Islamic Republic and Hezbollah in southern Syria.

He also said that there are disagreements between the United States and Israel regarding Syria and Turkey, but tensions can only be reduced when the countries of the region focus—rather than strengthening military capabilities—on economic development.
