The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), in a statement released with images of U.S. Navy sailors on F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter jets on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, said that these forces are carrying out repair and maintenance operations to ensure that the task force’s aircraft equipment for carrying out the U.S. blockade operation against Iran remains mission-ready.

According to CENTCOM’s announcement, the U.S. Central Command has, up to August 8, in total diverted the routes of 53 commercial ships, disabled two ships, and boarded two ships.
