🔸 "The Pentagon has asked U.S. arms companies to speed up production"

The Washington Post, based on a note it obtained, reported that the U.S. Department of Defense, amid a severe shortage of weapons due to the Iran war, has asked American defense companies to rapidly increase the production and delivery of weapons.

According to the note, Steve Feinberg, the deputy defense secretary of the United States, told the leadership of the defense industry on Wednesday that they have up to 21 days to submit plans to “significantly and aggressively speed up delivery timelines for critical capabilities and/or increase their production.”

Based on this report, he asked the companies to “dramatically accelerate” their schedules and production capacity, and told them that “multi-year development cycles are not acceptable.”

Previously, Donald Trump, the U.S. president, had denied reports about his dissatisfaction with Pete Hegseth, the U.S. defense secretary, due to the reduction of this country’s stockpile of interceptor missiles.
