🔸Ebrahim Qayyempanah, the executive deputy of the President of Iran, claimed on Sunday that the government has no information about the identity of those who profit from selling inside the country.

🔸He said: “We don’t know [where the sale proceeds] go, but we know it doesn’t go into the pockets of the Ministry of Communications or the operators.”

🔸While expressing ignorance about the matter, Qayyempanah said that these people have so much power that they prevent removal for the public. He said: “Those who sell have personal interests and do not allow this to be removed.”

🔸The statement of ignorance comes while, based on the admission of this senior official in the Islamic Republic’s government, “selling generates between 7 and 12 trillion tomans in revenues.”

🔸Earlier, at the beginning of Tir (early July) this year, Radio Farda had reported—based on “official” statistics on the daily cash flow of financial markets across the entire country as 125 billion and 800 million tomans, and its monthly financial volume as three trillion and 774 billion tomans (3.77 trillion tomans).
