🔸Iran’s Islamic Republic Judiciary said on Sunday, 25 Mordad, that another of the protesters from the Dey of 1404 was executed early that same day.

🔸Sadeghi had been accused in government-affiliated media inside Iran of this: that in the early hours of 18 Dey last year, near Golzar Square in Karaj, “after attacking the officers with a Pride car... he ran over several officers.”

🔸According to these media outlets, as a result of this incident, “seven FARAJA (Law Enforcement Command) officers” were injured “in the head, feet, hands, and eyes.”

🔸No evidence or documents have been published about how the trial of Sharams Sadeghi was held or the proceedings in this case.

🔸Political prisoners in Iran are largely convicted based on confessions obtained in violation of human-rights standards, which international organizations deem unacceptable.

🔸Last week, Volker Türk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, had said that Tehran uses executions as a “drip-by-drip injection of fear into society.”

🔸Based on a report by the United Nations, from the beginning of the current Persian year to date, at least 56 people have been executed on charges related to national security crimes; including 27 people in connection with protests.
