Interview with Habib Hosseini-Fard: How seriously should America’s threats against Iran be taken?
🔸In these days, senior U.S. officials have directed a wave of threats at the Islamic Republic. The U.S. Treasury Secretary said the United States intends to inflict “unprecedented” damage on Iran. The U.S. Defense Secretary also said the country’s army has the ability to maintain Iran’s maritime blockade for an “indefinite” period. The U.S. president likewise says he will soon declare the Strait of Hormuz as U.S. territory. To what extent should these remarks by Donald Trump be taken seriously? What consequences could they have, and with what aim are they being made? Habib Hosseini-Fard, a political analyst based in Germany, answered these questions in an interview with Radio Farda.
