🔻Enaz Rakabi, an Iranian female climber, in reaction to Fazaneh Fasehi being left out of Iran’s national track and field team, wrote in an Instagram story: “I had all the words in the world at my disposal, and we didn’t say them, because one word was missing: freedom.”
🔹Fazaneh Fasehi, Iran’s Olympic runner, also wrote in an Instagram post that in recent months she has been under security pressures, and that despite earning an official quota, the sports institutions of the Islamic Republic have prevented her from registering for the World Championships.
🔹The athlete, who had previously supported the national revolution of Iranians, wrote that because of her positions in support of the people of Iran, she has been threatened again and again. Fasehi emphasized that despite months of silence and enduring pressure, she will continue her efforts to “run for the people and their dreams.”
