🔸The price of the dollar in Iran’s free market also reached, for hours, 198 thousand tomans on Sunday, 1 Mehr, and set a new record.

🔸Based on data from currency price-tracking websites, the dollar rate rose to 198,200 tomans and its average rate on this day was also announced at about 197,420 tomans.

🔸“Eghtesadnews” has also reported that the dollar, in back-to-back (behind-the-line) trading, recorded a fresh high and that the currency market, as it continues the upward trend of recent days, has entered the first day of Mehr.

🔸The dollar had risen on Saturday to 193,480 tomans; accordingly, its price has increased by several thousand tomans again within a single day.

🔸The increase in the price of foreign currencies in recent weeks has coincided with the intensification of tensions between Tehran and Washington, the tightening of sanctions against Iran, and uncertainty about the resumption of negotiations.
