🔻Following ambiguities that have arisen regarding Alireza Beiranvand’s conscription, Tractor goalkeeper and the national team, Iran’s conscription organization of FARAJA (Public Service Duty) has denied rumors in a statement about “the possibility for conscripts who are footballers to complete their military service in non-military teams of the Premier League.”
🔹In this statement, which has been published by Iranian media, it says that “all eligible athletes, especially football players, upon reaching the age of eligibility, may make use of the capacity of the armed forces’ sports teams in order to complete their conscription service, and that the issue recently raised regarding the use of footballer conscripts in the Premier League is not in accordance with regulations and is not approved by the conscription organization of FARAJA.”
🔹Last night, the Tasnim news agency, quoting Brigadier General Zahedi, deputy of the conscription organization, wrote that “Alireza Beiranvand will become a conscript starting from Mehr 1405 and will no longer be able to play for Tractor.”
🔹Based on FARAJA’s new statement, Alireza Beiranvand must complete his conscription period in a military team such as Malavan Bandar Anzali or Fajr Sepasi Shiraz.
