🔸 Environmental activists report that a large portion of valuable Zagros oak trees has been burned following the continuation of wildfires in the forests of Nurabad Mamasani.
🔸 Arash Nikkhoo, who identifies himself as the “responsible person of the environmental public group Siyavash Unit,” wrote on his X account, referring to eight days of widespread fires in the forests of Nurabad Mamasani: “According to speculations, at least 5,000 hectares of the forests in the area were burned in the fire.”

🔸 Reports indicate that despite three stages of containing the fire, “strong winds” caused the flames to flare up again.
🔸 The Zagros forests, which cover 11 provinces of the country, begin in West Azerbaijan and extend as far as Firuzabad in Fars.
