Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, in an interview with Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened after the understanding between the Islamic Republic and Oman.

He added: “The condition of the Islamic Republic for reopening the Strait of Hormuz is the United States’ return to its commitments in the Islamabad agreement.”

Araghchi said: “The agenda of Monday’s meeting in Oman is a new maritime route in the Strait of Hormuz. We will provide the participating countries with the details of the agreement with Oman and the maps related to the new route.”
